Tuesday 1 December

I’m at the hospital in Malé, the main island of the Maldives.

Darren drove us here in the motorboat.

Oh, I forgot to tell you – we found him tied up in his hut!

Someone bashed him over the head, and when he woke up he had ropes around him.

It must have been Ola.

An ambulance met us at the harbour and drove us straight here. They even put the siren on!

I glimpsed a little bit of the city as we drove. It’s very different to the island where the hotel is. We drove through an area that reminded me of the East Village, back at the North Pole, where I grew up. There were lots of houses packed together, and I saw people sleeping in doorways. I guess not everywhere in the Maldives looks like our hotel…

When we arrived at the hospital, they rushed Father Christmas straight into Emergency.

I’ve been waiting here ever since.

I hope he’s okay.
